Andre Credit), a collaboration with Ben Allaway, Corinthian
Baptist Church, the Beloved Des Moines Community
Chorus, and the Saturday Night Band
• 2/23 | Roosevelt Andre Credit joined us in worship, soloing
with the Matins and Chancel choirs
November:
• 11/10 | Plymouth hosted musician-theologian, Julian Reid
for all weekend worship service.
• 11/24 | (PIE Sunday) All Choirs and the Plymouth Brass
presented festive Thanksgiving Sunday worship
• 11/24 | The Christmas Committee decorated Plymouth for
Advent/Christmas
December:
• 12/6-7 | CONCERT Chancel Choir and orchestra presented
2 concerts of The Many Moods of Christmas (Robert Shaw
and Robert Russell Bennett) as part of our “Sounds of the
Season” series.
• 12/8 | CONCERT (3:30-4:30p) Handbells for the Holiday
Concert as part of our “Sounds of the Season” series.
(Handchimes, Youth Bells, Plymouth Bells, and the Des
Moines Concert Handbells)
• 12/8 | (5-7p) Plymouth Soup Supper and Carol Sing as part
of our “Sounds of the Season” series.
• 12/11 | Chris and Sohee presented a Holiday program for
Lunch and Learn
• 12/12 | Plymouth received a generous gift of multiple
percussion instruments and equipment from Daniel Kelly
• 12/13 and 12/21 | PERFORMANCE Scrooge: A Radio Play
• 12/14 | CONCERT Des Moines Concert Handbells
• 12/15 | Plymouth Church Lessons and Carols Services
• 12/20 | CONCERT Christmas in Brass (a Christmas pops
concert featuring brass and organ) as part of our “Sounds of
the Season” series. The concert was highly acclaimed.
• 12/24 | Christmas Eve Worship Services

January 2025:
• 1/7 to 1/8 | Roger A. Colby Organ Builders we onsite to
assess, measure, and plan work for the organ
• 1/8 | PK-12 programming launched for the Semester
• 1/11 | CONCERT Plymouth hosted the Nebraska Wesleyan
Choir on tour, directed by Tom Trenney (Minister of Music
at First-Plymouth Church, Lincoln)

March:
• 3/2 | CONCERT Matins Variety Show
• 3/5 | Ash Wednesday Services, sung by the Matins Choir
and Soul Singers – cancelled this year due to weather
• 3/3 to 3/7 | Roger A. Colby Organ Builders we onsite to install
and voice new digital Pipe Organ Enhancement Technology,
which offers six new solo stops and improved bass/pedal
sound/projection for the organ. Many congregants began to
notice and mention a difference in the sound of the organ
following installation.
• 3/10 | Our organ consultant, Monte Maxwell, was onsite on
for the voicing and planning process.
• 3/8 | CONCERT Des Moines Gamer Symphony Ensembles
Concert, featuring multiple chamber ensembles.
April:
• 4/4 | EVENT Nadia Boltz Weber “Red State Revival”
• 4/5 | EVENT Iowa Sacred Harp Singing Convention
• 4/10 to 4/12 | Matins Garage Sale
• 4/11 | CONCERT Heaven and Earth, presented by Des
Moines Christian School and Roland-Story Community
School Choirs, ft. Elaine Hagenberg
• 4/13 | Palm Sunday/Singing Church Sunday – K-12 Choirs
and Instrumental Ensemble participated in 9AM worship,
presenting a program on “Love”
• 4/13 | WORSHIP The Chancel Choir and orchestra presented
Elaine Hagenberg’s ILLUMINARE to critical acclaim.
• 4/17 | Maundy Thursday Communion and Tenebrae Service
with the Chancel Choir
• 4/18 | Good Friday Tenebrae Service
• 4/19 | Easter Vigil led by the Confirmation Class with
remembrance of baptism and communion
• 4/20 | Easter Sunday with Matins Choir, Chancel Choir,
the Plymouth Brass, and handbells ringers
