Propelling our legacy into the future.
THIS MOMENT
For Children, Teens and Families:
Family Activity Idea: “Cost Reflection Cards”
Reflection Questions for Teens:
As a family, create a set of cost reflection cards.
On each card, write down a cost associated with
following Jesus (e.g., time spent volunteering,
helping a friend who is having a tough time, etc.).
After making the cards, discuss these costs
together. Ask each family member to pick one
cost they are willing to take action on this week.
1. What do you think it means to truly “count the
cost” of following Jesus in your own life?
2. Can you share an example of a time when
you faced a difficult decision related to your
faith? What were the costs involved, and how
did you move forward?
3. How can we support each other in
understanding and addressing the costs of
our faith commitments within our community?
Reflection Questions for Children:
1. What are some things that might be hard
about being a good friend or helping others?
2. Why do you think it’s important to think about
our choices before we make them?
This activity will help the family engage with the
theme of counting the costs while also fostering
practical commitments to stewardship and
support for one another.
