Propelling our legacy into the future.
THIS MOMENT
For Children, Teens and Families:
Family Activity Idea: “Legacy Time Capsule”
Reflection Questions for Teens:
Create a family legacy time capsule together.
Gather items that represent your faith, family
values, and significant moments in your lives,
such as photos, letters, or drawings. Each family
member can include a note explaining why they
chose their item and what they hope the future
holds.
1. When you think about your faith, what do you
hope will be remembered about you when
you’re older?
2. How can you actively contribute to creating a
legacy within our church community today?
3. What are some ways we can honor the
legacies of those who have come before us in
the faith?
Reflection Questions for Children:
1. What good memories do you think others
have of you?
2. Can you think of someone who has set a good
example for you?
3. How can we show others God’s love in a way
that they will remember?
Set a date to open the time capsule in the future
(like the church’s 100th anniversary!), and talk
about what legacy means to you as a family.
Discuss how your shared faith and actions today
contribute to the legacy you hope to leave for
future generations.
This engaging activity will create a lasting
memory for your family while reinforcing the
importance of stewardship and legacy in both
faith and community.
