Propelling our legacy into the future.
THIS MOMENT
For Children, Teens and Families:
Family Activity Idea: “Jubilee Celebration Day”
Reflection Questions for Teens:
Organize a fun family celebration day where
you focus on joy and restoration. Start with a
family discussion about your favorite memories
and what you love about each other and your
community. Then plan a day filled with activities
that spread joy, like baking treats for neighbors,
creating homemade cards with positive
messages, or organizing a small picnic in
a local park.
1. What does the concept of Jubilee mean to
you, and how can it influence your life and
decisions today?
2. In what ways can our church represent the
spirit of Jubilee in our community and school?
3. What are some current issues in our
community that could benefit from the
restorative actions described in Jubilee?
Reflection Questions for Children:
1. What does it mean to celebrate and share joy
with others? Can you think of a time when you
celebrated something special?
2. How can we show kindness and
help others feel free and happy, like in the
Year of Jubilee?
You might even compile a “Jubilee Jar,” where
each family member shares what they’re grateful
for and what they hope to celebrate together
moving forward. Collect these reflections
throughout the day and read them aloud as part
of your closing celebration.
This activity will highlight the spirit of Jubilee and
encourage your family to embrace restoration,
joy, and celebration in both your lives and your
community.
