STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Saturday, March 28 to Sunday, April 5
During Holy Week, experience the Stations of the Cross in the
hallway outside of Waveland Hall with a self-guided tour.
PALM SUNDAY | MARCH 29
Palm Sunday Services at 9 and 11 AM
Join us for worship on Palm Sunday. Worship will be lead by
K-12 choirs at 9 AM and Chancel Choir at 11 AM.
Standing with our Neighbors March from 2-4 PM
Churches across Iowa will be joining together for a coordinated
act of public witness on Palm Sunday. Here in Des Moines,
Plymouth is invited to join with many other congregations for
a festive march from Capitol Hill Lutheran Church to the State
Capitol. We will follow in the footsteps of Jesus, who entered
Jerusalem to confront systems of injustice and violence in the
name of God’s love and peace.
GOOD FRIDAY | APRIL 3
Labyrinth open from 12-9:30 PM
Come walk the Labyrinth alone or with a small group in the
comfort of Waveland Hall. There is time for you to walk while
meditating or praying, to sit quietly listening to soft music or to
draw and write your thoughts and prayers.
Good Friday Service at 7:30 PM
Join us in the Sanctuary as we receive Communion and walk
through the events of Holy Week as we journey to the Crucifixion.

Labyrinth open from 8 AM to 2 PM — see details above
Family Easter Egg Hunt from 2-4 PM
Join us for egg hunt, bounce house, games, prizes, and fun family
fellowship! This event is free and open to all, no sign up needed.
Holy Saturday Easter Vigil at 5 PM
Join us in Waveland Hall for a vigil service to prepare for Easter.
• 2 PM: Begin gathering at Capitol Hill Lutheran Church
• 2:30 PM: March to the State Capitol
• 3-4 PM: Service of Public Witness at the State Capitol
MAUNDY THURSDAY | APRIL 2
Maundy Thursday Dinner at 6 PM
Join us for a simple, delicious meal before the Maundy Thursday
Service of Tennabrae. The meal is provided by Cyd’s Catering and
will be served in Waveland Hall. Must register
in advance to attend. Gluten-free and vegetarian
options are available. Register by Tuesday,

Maundy Thursday Service at 7:30 PM
Join a traditional service of Maundy Thursday Communion
around the table, as we observe the Last Supper, followed by the
Tenebrae reading as we journey with Christ through Holy Week
and descend into darkness.

EASTER SUNDAY | APRIL 5
Easter Sunrise Service at 6:15 AM
Join us bright and early in the Memorial Garden to
celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus just as the sun begins to
rise Easter morning!
Easter Sunday Services, April 5 at 9 and 11 AM
Celebrate the risen Christ and life restored at our Easter
Sunday worship services. Our Matins and Soul Singers will
sing at the 9 AM service, Chancel Choir will sing at 11 AM.
Plymouth Brass will take part in both worship services.
