NOBODY HERE
By Diane Hayes, written Summer 2023
It’s Friday.
There’s nobody here.
Just me.
Me and Connie.
And Jan.
Nobody’s here
But the Volunteer.
Nobody’s here.
But Dan. And Dan.
Just a regular Friday
With nobody here.
Jeff and Jim finagling financials,
Samantha’s Soul is in the garage.
Elsie and Erin publishing the world
From their hideaway offices
Near Dan. And Mike? (not on Friday)
And eventually Zack,
But not yet.
It’s Friday.
There’s lots of folks here,
Just scattered about.
No one here to hear a shout
Should a shout need to come out.
Just me in my office
Alone in my hallway
(Except when a copy is needed).
Yep. There’s nobody here.

Notes: If you’re counting, that’s 11 here.
*Who’s not here? Chris, Sohee, LeAnn, Jared, Remi, Peter,
Melody, Roberto, Karen, Mike, Andrew, and Zack (12).
It should be noted that Connie and Samantha are not normally
here on Fridays, so their presence was exceptional.
Written summer 2023, after Rushing left for Florida.
