ABOUT JUDY SEBERN BEACHY
Judy has been in the creative mindset her whole life. She
became serious about exploring different art mediums
during middle age, when she met and took evening classes
from local artist Mary Muller. Judy went on a ten-year
journey of learning charcoal drawing, pastel, acrylic
painting, and watercolor.
Judy explains, “It was difficult for me to relate to the label
of artist, since most of my life had been spent in the world
of math and science. I retired after 34 years in the cancer
research field working for the State Cancer Registry. With
my interest in art turning into a passion, I’m still more
comfortable calling myself a ‘creative spirit’ rather than an
‘artist.’ Creating art is definitely a form of therapy for me
and often reflects aspects of my faith journey”.
Tuesday, June 16 at 6 PM
Come join the Stephen Ministers for an evening celebrating
Summer Solstice and nature! Enjoy time in the courtyard for
music, reflections, and a pastoral message. There will be interactive
stations to explore, and a time of fellowship with a simple meal.
Judy enjoys taking her creativity in different directions. Her
show encompasses pieces of watercolor, collage, acrylic,
pastels and pixel-art. Nature and flowers are typical themes
in Judy’s work, with an occasional abstract, all of which
brings her JOY! Judy hopes you will feel a spark of joy as
well viewing her diverse work. Find Judy on Facebook or
Instagram @JudySebernBeachyART.
